Brazos (G) Regional Water Plan Environmental Evaluation
Work entailed conducting environmental evaluations required for development of the Brazos G Regional Water Plan pursuant to provisions of Senate Bill 1 (Texas Administrative Code 31TAC 357.7). Evaluations included assessments of future threats to natural resources in the regional water planning area, and assessments of the environmental effects of identified regional water management strategies on environmental water needs/instream flows, cultural resources, fish and wildlife habitat, threatened and endangered species, and bays and estuaries. Additionally, pursuant to Senate Bill 1, areas within the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Area were evaluated to determine suitability of sites for designation as ecologically unique stream segments. Results of this investigation are contained in a submitted report entitled “River and Stream Segments of Unique Ecological Value in the Brazos G Regional Water Planning Area”.
